RAWALPINDI — Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Vladimir Kolokoltsev called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and the regional security environment, with a particular focus on strengthening bilateral security cooperation. They underscored the importance of closer institutional ties and improved coordination between the security institutions of Pakistan and Russia.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding relations with Russia and expanding practical cooperation in areas of shared interest, particularly security.
The visiting Russian dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and stability and acknowledged the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
