QUETTA — Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has assured workers across the province that their problems and grievances will be addressed on a priority basis in consultation with labour union leaders.
Addressing an event organized by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Labour Wing and other labour unions, the Governor said provincial ministers were being directed to play a more active role in resolving public grievances and ensuring relief for workers and other citizens.
He said PML-N leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had always attached special importance to workers’ welfare. The working class, he added, plays a fundamental role in the country’s economy and development, making the protection of workers’ rights and resolution of their problems key priorities.
Congratulating Naseem ur Rehman Malakhail on his election as convener, Governor Mandokhail said he possessed extensive political experience, having worked from the grassroots level to the highest levels of politics.
The Governor praised MPA Zarak Khan Mandokhail for his active role in Quetta and said elected representatives had kept their offices open to the public to listen to complaints and take effective measures to address them.
He reaffirmed his commitment to identifying workers’ issues through consultations with labour leaders and relevant unions and taking practical steps to resolve them. He emphasized that effective coordination among the government, elected representatives and labour organizations was essential for workers’ welfare and the resolution of their legitimate grievances.
Provincial Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gailo congratulated the PML-N Labour Wing on organizing the event and said workers played a vital role in the country’s progress and development.
MNA Akhtar Bibi said Pakistan’s prosperity was directly linked to the well-being of its workers, stressing the need for everyone to raise their voice for factory workers and their rights.
Naseem ur Rehman Malakhail praised Governor Mandokhail for keeping the Muslim League united since his student days and thanked him for attending the Labour Wing event despite it being a holiday.
MPA Zarak Khan Mandokhail said efforts were underway to address workers’ problems and protect their rights, assuring participants that the Labour Wing’s concerns would also be taken up.
MPA Aamir Khan Mandokhail also highlighted the importance of workers in national development and prosperity, reaffirming the commitment to working towards the resolution of their issues.
The event was attended by Provincial Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gailo, MNA Akhtar Bibi, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan Naseem ur Rehman Malakhail, MPAs Zarak Khan Mandokhail and Aamir Khan Mandokhail, Zaman Malakhail, Younis Baloch, Chaudhry Shabbir, Labour Wing President Chaudhry Naveed Waheed Kasi, Aamir Sheikh, Saifullah, Malik Muhammad Hussain, labour leaders, Labour Wing office-bearers, representatives of various unions and a large number of workers.
