Report: ANI Correspondent:
LAHORE –As security forces intensify decisive, intelligence-led operations against Fitna al-Khawarij in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, defence and security analysts have highlighted the role of Major General Faisal Nasir as Coordinator of the National Intelligence Coordination Committee (NICC).
In recent weeks, counter-terrorism operations across the affected regions have targeted key terrorist networks, hideouts and logistical supply lines. Defence experts said proactive measures, improved intelligence coordination and timely information sharing have disrupted the operational capabilities of elements seeking to destabilise the country.
At the centre of the enhanced operational coordination is the NICC, where, according to security analysts, Major General Faisal Nasir has played a significant role in strengthening cooperation among intelligence agencies and law-enforcement bodies.
Analysts said greater emphasis on real-time intelligence sharing, institutional coordination and strategic alignment has helped security agencies identify emerging threats at an early stage and conduct targeted operations with greater precision.
The coordinated approach has also contributed to efforts aimed at disrupting terrorist networks, their support infrastructure and logistical channels in areas affected by militant activity, the analysts said.
Political, social and military circles have welcomed the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts and paid tribute to the sacrifices of security personnel engaged in operations against terrorist elements.
Observers said the state’s resolve to counter terrorism and restore lasting peace across the country remains firm, while coordinated institutional mechanisms and intelligence-led operations continue to form an important part of the national security framework.
