ISLAMABAD — National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq attended a ceremony marking Saudi Arabia’s 96th National Day as the chief guest and cut the National Day cake.
The Speaker congratulated the Saudi leadership and people on the occasion and expressed his best wishes for their continued progress and prosperity.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Saudi Arabia was progressing under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, adding that the country’s remarkable development was a source of pride for its people.
He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy longstanding brotherly relations based on shared faith and historic ties, adding that both countries have stood by each other during difficult times.
The Speaker highlighted the importance of parliamentary relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in promoting mutual cooperation and understanding. He said stronger links between Pakistan’s Parliament and the Saudi Shura Council would further consolidate bilateral ties.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Pakistan highly values Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and security and noted that the friendship between the two countries contributes to peace and stability in the region.
He also highlighted the importance of the defence agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, describing it as significant for regional security.
