The programme was hosted by Senior Anchor Person Sibtain Baloch.

The participants highlighted the notable performance of Sargodha’s women hockey players at national and international levels. Zaheera Sadaf and Mah-e-Ramzan, both associated with Fatima Women Hockey Academy, represented Pakistan in international junior-level competitions.

The achievements of Urooj Fayyaz and Laiba Saeed at national-level competitions were also discussed. Participants stressed that Sargodha has significant sporting talent among girls, but requires better grounds, coaching, equipment and regular competitive opportunities.

Professor Ayesha Siddiqa emphasised that girls should pursue sports alongside education, noting that sports contribute to physical health, confidence, discipline, teamwork and leadership skills.

The discussion also highlighted the role of parents, educational institutions, government departments and private organisations in creating safe and supportive sporting opportunities for girls. The participants called for dedicated sports facilities, training centres and women’s hockey and cricket clubs across Sargodha Division.

The role of Fatima Women Hockey Academy in training and supporting female hockey players was also appreciated. Participants expressed hope that sustained efforts and improved facilities would enable more athletes from Sargodha to represent Pakistan at national and international levels.
