Gujranwala: The funeral prayer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly Mahmood Bashir Virk was offered at the Gujranwala Board Office Ground, with prominent political, administrative, social and religious figures in attendance.
The funeral prayer was led by renowned religious scholar Allama Saqib Raza Mustafai. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Commissioner Gujranwala Division Muhammad Ali, Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed and former Federal Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan were among those who attended.
Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, City Police Officer Dr. Ghiyas Gul and senior officers of the district administration also participated in the funeral prayer.
On the occasion, Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar met the bereaved family and expressed his heartfelt condolences over the death of Mahmood Bashir Virk. Other political, social and religious personalities also expressed their grief and sympathies with the family.
The participants offered special prayers for the forgiveness and elevation of the deceased’s ranks and prayed for patience and fortitude for the bereaved family. Tributes were also paid to Mahmood Bashir Virk’s political, social and public services.
