ISLAMABAD — Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Ugo Ciarlatani met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch were also present.
Welcoming the newly appointed ambassador, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan and Italy enjoy excellent bilateral relations and expressed good wishes for Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Ambassador Ciarlatani thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting and expressed his commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Italy relations through close cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister assured Pakistan’s full support for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in agriculture, IT and artificial intelligence, industry, textiles and people-to-people contacts.
