ISLAMABAD — Chairman Ittehade Islami IOJK Syed Manzoor Ahmed Shah has paid rich tributes to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces on the occasion of Defence Day, recalling their courage and sacrifices during the 1965 war.

In his message, Shah said September 1965 remains a significant chapter in Pakistan’s history, marked by courage, national unity and determination. He praised the Army, Air Force and Navy for displaying bravery across multiple fronts.

He particularly recalled the Chhamb-Jourian, Rann of Kutch, Lahore, Sialkot-Chawinda and Khem Karan sectors, as well as the role of Pakistan Air Force pilots in defending the country’s airspace.

“Our martyrs paid the ultimate price so that our homeland could live in peace and honor,” Shah said, adding that the sacrifices of 1965 demonstrated the importance of faith, unity and national resolve in defending the country.

He paid tribute to the Shuhada and veterans and reaffirmed his commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
