MURREE — A two-month-old baby was allegedly thrown into a rainwater drain in Gohra village of Union Council Masiari, Murree, police said.
According to DPO Murree Raza Tanveer Supra, preliminary investigations indicate that the infant’s biological mother allegedly threw the baby into the drain. Kuldana Police recovered the body and shifted it to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have detained the child’s parents for questioning and registered a case under relevant sections, including murder.
The DPO said a comprehensive investigation is underway and further facts will emerge as the probe progresses.
