MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and PPP Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf visited Mandi Bahauddin and addressed a press conference alongside senior PPP leaders, including Gujranwala Division President Asif Bashir Bhagat and General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza.

Raja Pervez Ashraf also chaired a meeting of the Punjab PPP Provincial Executive Committee, where party affairs and political matters were discussed.

Addressing the media, he said new provinces could not be created through street or market-level decisions and that the constitutional procedure must be followed. He said every system had weaknesses, but that did not mean it had failed, citing Pakistan’s nuclear development and other achievements.

On the PPP-PML-N alliance, Ashraf said the cooperation was aimed at Pakistan’s development, prosperity and stability and had been decided by the PPP beyond narrow party politics.

He said the PPP continued to raise public issues despite being part of the government coalition and acknowledged that inflation was a global challenge.

Commenting on increased load shedding, Raja Pervez Ashraf said he disagreed with the government’s solar policy and maintained that improvements in the policy could help control load shedding
