ISTANBUL –Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Chief of Defence Forces/Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the inaugural meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee in Istanbul.
The committee has been established under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, with the meeting attended by the Turkish and Saudi counterparts of the Pakistani leadership.
The meeting focused on strengthening strategic, political and defence cooperation among the participating countries under the framework of the joint defence agreement.
