Independence Day Message from Iranian Consul General

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
On behalf of the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Government, Armed Forces and brotherly people of Pakistan on the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan.
August 14 reminds us of the remarkable struggle, sacrifices and visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the founding fathers of Pakistan. Iran and Pakistan share deep-rooted bonds based on history, culture, religion and strong people-to-people ties. Iran takes pride in being the first country to officially recognize Pakistan’s independence.
Iran remains committed to further strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan, particularly in trade, energy, border cooperation and cultural exchanges. Peace, regional security and greater economic cooperation remain shared priorities.
I pray for the continued progress, security, prosperity and dignity of the people of Pakistan.
Long Live Iran-Pakistan Friendship!
Akbar Eisaa Zadeh
Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran
