ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training and Chairman Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has hailed the historic Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye as a major milestone for Muslim unity, collective security and lasting peace.
In a special statement, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui commended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and brotherly Muslim countries for their strong and welcoming response to the agreement.
The Federal Minister described the agreement as a landmark development aimed at strengthening the defence, security and collective resilience of the Muslim Ummah, while contributing to peace and stability in the region.
He said the strategic defence agreement signed in the holy city of Makkah by three major Muslim countries was a timely step towards addressing the complex security challenges facing the Muslim world.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the agreement would not only help safeguard the security and sanctity of the Holy Land but would also promote regional cooperation, strengthen strategic partnerships among Muslim countries and enhance collective defence capabilities and self-reliance.
He further stated that the unity and cooperation demonstrated by Muslim countries reflected a growing commitment to collective responsibility and mutual solidarity.
The MQM-P chairman expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for broader cooperation and stronger institutional mechanisms for peace, security and stability across the Muslim world.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to play its constructive role in promoting peace, stability, dialogue and cooperation among Muslim countries and safeguarding the collective interests of the Muslim Ummah.
