ISLAMABAD—A delegation of students participating in the Digital Balochistan AI Launchpad Bootcamp met Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House in Islamabad. Federal Secretary for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani was also present.
Welcoming the students, the Speaker described Balochistan as a vital province and said Reko Diq has the potential to transform Pakistan’s future. He said the National Assembly’s internship programme currently includes students from 21 universities and that more opportunities would be created for students from Balochistan.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the importance of reading, research, and continuous learning, adding that equal employment opportunities are being ensured for all provinces, with increased representation for women and special opportunities for persons with disabilities.
The students were briefed on the National Assembly’s AI-enabled parliamentary system, digitization of parliamentary business, and the transition to paperless operations. The Speaker said Artificial Intelligence is improving parliamentary research, legislation, and administrative efficiency while complementing, not replacing, human decision-making.
Tech Valley Pakistan Founder and CEO Umar Farooq also briefed the Speaker on the AI Launchpad Bootcamp. The Speaker appreciated the efforts of the Government of Balochistan, Tech Valley Pakistan, the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, the Ministry of Federal Education, and USEFP for promoting AI education and equipping youth with future-ready skills.
