KARACHI—Uzbekistan’s private airline Centrum Air will launch direct scheduled flights between Tashkent and Karachi from September 3, 2026, marking a significant step toward enhancing air connectivity between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The new service, made possible through the joint efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan and the aviation and transport authorities of both countries, will operate twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday.
The direct Tashkent–Karachi–Tashkent route is expected to facilitate faster and more convenient travel for businesspeople, tourists, students, and pilgrims, while strengthening bilateral trade and people-to-people ties.
The route is also expected to serve as an important transportation corridor linking not only Uzbekistan but the wider Central Asian region with Karachi, Pakistan’s principal seaport.
Currently, six scheduled flights operate weekly between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, including four flights on the Tashkent–Lahore route and two flights on the Islamabad–Tashkent route. The addition of the Karachi service will further expand air connectivity between the two countries.
