MANDI BAHAUDDIN—On the special instructions of District Emergency Officer Engineer Imran Khan Mangat, Rescue 1122 personnel remained on high alert across Mandi Bahauddin, assisting citizens during heavy rainfall that caused waterlogging on roads and in markets.
Personnel of the Motorbike Emergency Response Wing helped stranded pedestrians and motorcyclists navigate flooded areas and continued rescue and assistance operations despite challenging weather conditions.
Rescue 1122 urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during the rain and advised them to remain indoors unless essential. The department warned that accumulated rainwater may contain poisonous snakes, insects, and other dangerous creatures, while submerged or fallen live electric wires could pose a serious risk to life.
Citizens were also advised to keep children away from stagnant water and to contact Rescue 1122 immediately in case of any emergency.
