ISLAMABAD: In a significant political development in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Pir Syed Mohsin Haider Gilani, the Sajjada Nashin of Darbar-e-Aalia Panag Sharif, formally joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), expressing full confidence in the leadership of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, President of IPP Azad Kashmir and former Prime Minister of AJK.
Pir Syed Mohsin Haider Gilani was accompanied by Sahibzada Syed Ali Asghar Gilani, Sahibzada Syed Ali Hamza Gilani, and Sardar Muzaffar, who also announced their affiliation with the party.
On the occasion, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan welcomed the distinguished personalities by presenting them with the party’s traditional scarves. He said the inclusion of respected religious and social figures reflected the growing public confidence in the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to promoting public service, merit, development, and prosperity across Azad Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, Pir Syed Mohsin Haider Gilani urged the people of Azad Kashmir to support the candidates of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party for a strong, stable, and prosperous future. He also appealed to his followers, devotees, and well-wishers to actively participate in the election campaign and contribute to the party’s success in every constituency while strengthening the leadership of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan.
He further stated that Pakistan is a great blessing from Almighty Allah and paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their invaluable services in safeguarding the country’s and Azad Kashmir’s borders. He emphasized that the entire nation stands firmly alongside its armed forces and is prepared to make every sacrifice for the country’s security and stability.
Political observers believe that the support of a large number of followers associated with Darbar-e-Aalia Panag Sharif could significantly strengthen the party’s grassroots support, making this development an important political gain for Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan ahead of the upcoming elections.
Former Special Assistant Sardar Imtiaz Shaheen and Political Adviser Sardar Iftikhar Rashid were also present on the occasion.
