An important organizational meeting of Awaam Pakistan was held at the party secretariat in Waris Khan, Rawalpindi, where Central Vice President Chaudhry Inam Zafar presided over the proceedings. Party organizational officials attended the meeting and received a detailed update on the progress of the Awaam Pakistan membership drive.
During the briefing, party workers shared the latest developments in the membership campaign and outlined the efforts being made to expand the party’s presence in Rawalpindi and beyond. Chaudhry Inam Zafar praised the dedication of the workers, appreciating their active role in strengthening the organization and encouraging them to continue their efforts with the same commitment.
Speaking to the participants, he said the party’s organizational structure and membership campaign were moving forward rapidly in Rawalpindi as well as across the country. He urged office-bearers and workers to effectively convey the party’s message to the public and to motivate more people to join Awaam Pakistan.
He also said the party intends to field its own candidates in the upcoming Cantonment Board elections. However, he noted that the party did not take part in the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir because its registration in those regions has not yet been completed. He added that the Awaam Pakistan membership drive has now officially begun in both Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
Chaudhry Inam Zafar further said that any decision about supporting a candidate or constituency in the upcoming Azad Jammu & Kashmir elections will be taken after consultation with the central leadership. He said workers and the public would be informed once the party finalizes its position through internal discussion.
He added that after the completion of registration in the relevant regions, the central leadership will announce the party’s future course of action and electoral strategy in consultation with party stakeholders. The meeting also saw consultations on the membership campaign from National General Council members Sardar Nazir Ahmed Kashmiri, Samina Shoaib, and Mumtaz Bhatti, who submitted completed membership forms of new members along with their full details to the party secretariat.
