MITHI (Tharparkar): Assistant Commissioner Mithi Dr. Umair Ashraf has warned of strict legal action against illegal LPG decanting, unlicensed gas sales and unsafe fireworks storage to ensure public safety during Diwali celebrations.

Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Abdul Haleem Jagirani, Dr. Ashraf said shops involved in illegal gas decanting or selling LPG without valid licences would face legal action, including immediate sealing of their premises.

He also directed that fireworks stalls must not be established in densely populated residential areas, busy markets or other public places. Fireworks warehouses located in central Mithi would be shifted to designated safe locations outside the city.

Dr. Umair Ashraf reiterated that protecting public lives and property was the administration's top priority, warning that violations would be dealt with strictly without discrimination or political pressure.
