RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Enforcement Squad continued its crackdown on illegal housing schemes, unauthorized construction and violations of planning regulations on the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and DG RDA Salman Ghani.

Operations were conducted at three locations: Downtown opposite Askari-14 on Defence Road, a land subdivision near Dhok Nawaz Graveyard, and an illegal housing scheme near Riaz Chowk in Morgah.

During the operations, illegally constructed roads and infrastructure, manholes, sewerage pipelines and unauthorized barriers were demolished on the spot under relevant laws and regulations.

An RDA spokesperson said regular field inspections and enforcement actions would continue against illegal development, unauthorized construction and unlawful commercial activities to ensure compliance with approved building plans and zoning regulations.

The operation was supervised by Deputy Director Planning Muhammad Dawood, with other RDA planning and field staff participating.
