Kahuta: Under the Punjab Chief Minister’s Clean Punjab vision, a special campaign has been launched in Kahuta to improve the cleanliness system and promote awareness among the business community.
Under the patronage of CTDS Board of Directors Chairman Amir Shafi, supervision of CTDS General Manager Rana Shoaib, and with Operational Manager Waqar Kiyani directly present in the field, CTDS teams visited various markets in Kahuta and distributed waste bins (dustbins) among shopkeepers.
On the occasion, Operational Manager Waqar Kiyani briefed traders and shopkeepers about the objectives of the campaign. He said that every shopkeeper must play an active role in keeping the markets clean and free from waste.
He appealed to shopkeepers to dispose of dry waste, paper, shopping bags and other waste in the provided dustbins instead of throwing it on roads or into drains, so that the waste can be collected in a timely and proper manner.
The business community appreciated the initiative taken by the Government of Punjab and CTDS, assuring their full cooperation with the sanitation teams to help keep Kahuta city clean and hygienic.
