PISHIN –The All Parties Anjuman-e-Tajiran Pishin organized a protest rally against the activities of armed groups, recent terrorist incidents and unrest in Pishin and Saranan. The rally later turned into a protest gathering attended by a large number of people.
ANP Balochistan President Asghar Khan Achakzai, JUI provincial vice president Maulana Kamal-ud-Din, Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Central Information Secretary Essa Khan Roshan, and representatives of traders and civil society addressed the gathering.
The speakers said portraying terrorism in the Pashtun belt as a Pashtun-Baloch conflict was an attempt to create hatred and division between the two communities. They stressed that terrorism does not represent any nation, language or region and called for a united stand against it.
The protesters criticized the government and relevant institutions, demanding immediate action against terrorism and armed groups in Pishin, Saranan and other Pashtun areas, along with effective protection of the lives and property of citizens.
